Frequently Asked Questions
|
- How can I get access to PEDL?
-
You must have Reporting Role A or Role B security (or PEDL - only authorization) in order to access PEDL. This is accomplished by having the appropriate Data Access Authorizer for your area complete and submit a Data Access Form. If you are unsure of your security status, check with Authorizer in your unit. If you are unsure of who your Authorizer is there is a complete list included with the Data Access Form. Once the form has been processed, the central security team will activate your PEDL security. You will also be sent a PEDL User's Guide and be added to the PEDL Listserv.
- I used PEDL to check an employee's personal information and found that this information is incorrect. How can I correct it?
- Faculty and staff can maintain their directory information themselves through Employee Essentials (which can be accessed through Bear Access or through the OHR web page. However, name changes and social security number changes need to be processed through Records Administration via a UPAF. In these situations employees should contact their HR Representative.
- I did an Employee Lookup and I see the employee's personal information but not Job, Position, or Compensation Data. What happened?
- Once you search for an employee, the Personal Data panel will be populated immediately because that data is not effective dated. In order to populate the Job, Position, and Compensation Data panels, you must click on one of the employee's effective dated rows (on the left side of the panel).
