Overview

The Position and Employee Data Lookup (PEDL) System was created to allow department administrators to view personnel and appointment information and the current status of their positions. PEDL replaces EBI, the screen used by administrators to view appointment data in the legacy system (CHRISP). PEDL is designed to display position characteristics, personal data, job data, and compensation data directly from the PeopleSoft HR/Payroll system; it is not possible to enter or update this information using PEDL.

Only administrators approved by their college or unit will have access to use PEDL. Most of the data those with access can view is restricted to employees and positions within the viewers' departments. Other unrestricted data related to any Cornell employee can be viewed by any PEDL user.

In order to access PEDL, you must attend a training session and you must have either Role A or Role B security authorization. Go to www.cit.cornell.edu/training to register for a PEDL training class. If you do not have Role A or Role B security authorization or have a question about obtaining it, contact the Authorizer in your unit. Once you complete training and have the appropriate Role, a PEDL trainer will activate your PEDL security and you will be able to access PEDL.
