Position Incumbents
|

-
The new panel for Position Incumbents displays a list of all employees that have ever been in this position number since the start of PeopleSoft in December 1998.
The list is ordered based on the start date of the employee, with oldest start dates on the bottom.
- Single click on a person's name, and information on their employment displays on the right. Nothing will display until you choose a person, because the system does not know which employee's data you want displayed.
- Double click on a person's name and the system will swap over to that person's data on the Employee Lookup panel.
Important Notes on Position Incumbent:
- These panels display the start date, which is the first date the person was employed in this position. It is not the first date they worked for the university.
- A date of 12-8-98 is not a data error. This is the first date the PeopleSoft system was active, so it is the first date where anyone could have been in a position.
- If a person has been in this position more than once, or has an extension of appointment within the position, they may appear twice in the list.
- The last field, "Active In Position As Of Today" indicates whether the person has an active appointment (including those on leave, sabbatic, or disability) in this position currently. If the person has transferred to a different position number, or is terminated or retired, the system will display "No" in this field.
- When you type in a position number and press Search, the system finds the position for this panel as well as the Position History panel. Therefore, if an error message appears, you will actually get two (one for each panel).
