Employee Lookup

Step 1:
Once you are in PEDL and have determined that you want to look up an Employee, click on the Employee Lookup tab. Note that the name which displays above the tabs is that of the person using PEDL, not the person you are looking up.
Step 2:
You have three options for searching for the Employee; you can enter the Employee's Empl ID, Net ID, or Social Security Number (SSN). (It is hoped that future releases of PEDL might include the ability to search by name.) If you only know the person's name, go to the electronic directory to find their Net ID. After you have entered the search information, click the Search button or hit Enter.
Step 3:
The Empl ID, Net ID, SSN, and Name fields should be populated. Note that the SSN for an Employee outside your department does not display. In the frame below, two icons appear: Active Jobs and Other Jobs. (Go here for details on these icons.) Double click on the Active Jobs icon to view the Employee's active .
Step 4:
Click on the circle to the left of the Employee's Department folder. Then click on the circle to open the Employee's Job folder.

Step 5:
Click on the circle next to the Job folder to view the effective-dated actions related to the job. Then click on one of the effective-dated rows to view job information.
Step 6:
In the right frame, you will see the following panel tabs: Personal Data, Job Data, Position Data, Compensation Data. Click on the tab of the panel you'd like to view.
Note: If you do an Employee Lookup and get an error message saying No Employee Found, the problem could be that you typed the NetID in upper case. Try again, being sure to type the NetID in lower case.
